What Will You Leave With After a Week?

A week at Summit Debate Online Academy doesn’t just give you instruction—it gives you results you can use throughout your season.

By the end of the week, students leave with:

  • Completed speeches, pieces, and arguments that are tournament-ready, not just drafts

  • Actionable, personalized feedback from Summit’s national-level coaching staff

  • Real experience performing in live practice rounds and drills

  • A clearer strategic framework for how to approach rounds, prep, and adaptation

  • Greater confidence speaking under pressure, with tools to stay composed and persuasive

  • A deeper understanding of the topic and event, tailored to your competitive goals

  • Momentum—students know exactly what to work on next and how to improve

Students leave the week with stronger arguments, clearer strategy, increased confidence, and a concrete plan for improvement—no matter where they compete or speak next.

REFUND POLICY & FINANCIAL AID

Limited Financial Assistance is available on a need based request.  Please contact info@summitdebate.com for more information.  Our deadline for financial aid requests is March 1, 2025.  Please do not submit your application, until after you have received your financial aid decision from Summit Debate.  Unfortunately, we may not be able to assist with any requests after the March 1, 2025 deadline.

A $500 payment is a non-refundable deposit at the time of registration. This deposit cannot be refunded under any circumstances. Tuition payments made above the $500 non-application deposit, are fully refundable up until 11:59pm est on April 1, 2025.  Please allow 7-10 business days for us to process refunds.

After April 1, 2025, no refunds of any amount will be given. Any outstanding balance is still required to be paid.

You will also see and agree to this policy as part of the registration process. Given that we need to secure faculty and our university hosts require housing contracts early in the spring, we depend on an accurate registration headcount and need to adhere to this strict refund policy.

With Other Camp Options Out There, What Sets Summit Debate Apart?

We are committed to putting skill development first. As a collection of speech & debate coaches, Summit Debate knows we learn best from each other. That’s why even as the educators, we are constantly innovating and developing new ways to reach our students. In order to accomplish high-level debate skills, we have a dedicated award-winning administrative team to help our students and educators. Summit Debate is the only summer institute to have a Student & Staff Development Director. At its core, Summit Debate’s goal is to provide all students an opportunity perfect their craft and be prepared for their debate rounds as well as life-long skills after debate.

Meet Our Team

With instructors across Public Forum, Lincoln Douglas, Oratory and all Interp events, the Summit Debate family is led by National Debate Champion coaches and former National Debate Champion competitors. Jenny Cook, National Debate Hall of Fame Awardee, leads the charge to ensure only the highest caliber of expertise is being fostered and every session is transformative.

Summit Debate offered me an opportunity to be mentored under some of the best coaches in the country. I have gone to NDF for two years and learned the strategies and skills needed for success in debate. This will be my third, final, and most important year of camp because I will continue to polish and develop my skills as a debater to prepare for my last year on the circuit. I can’t imagine not attending NDF before my senior year.
