  • Speech Events (Original Oratory, Informative Speaking, and Interpretation Events (Dramatic, Humorous, Programmed Oral Interpretation, and Duo)

Commuter & Resident Options:

Commuter pricing includes: Event Curriculum from 9-5:30pm Monday-Friday, no meals are included. 

Residential pricing includes: Event Curriculum 9-5:30pm, Extra Residential Curriculum options 7-9pm weekday nights and middle Saturday 9am-9pm.

Resident Elective Programming:

1) Academic Electives for Camp Residents Event seminars: including instruction on a 2nd or 3rd event such as Congress, Extemp, Impromptu, Oratory, World Schools, cross-curriculum topic discussions in philosophy and political theory, faculty office hours for guided study/research/event support, team/program seminars on team building and debating in college, being a more persuasive speaker, and executive leadership skills.  

2) Recreation Electives for Camp Residents: including JFK Presidential Library tour, sporting activities (beach volleyball, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee, kickball, basketball, and group harbor walk/photoshoot.

3) Evening Supervised Group Study

Resident options include double occupancy rooms with private bathroom in the Motley East Residential Dorm at UMASS Boston, daily continental breakfast and catered dinners every night and catered lunch on the weekend and a Free Day Tour to Boston. Weekday lunches are not included but students have access to a food court in the student center, plus a grab n go cafe/store in the lobby of the dorm, where food can be purchased.

Dorm Specifics:

  • Double Room (2 people in a room, private bathroom with shower/toilet in the room, AC, desk and closet).. 

  • Triple rooms by request only for students coming with friends/teammates

  • Single rooms limited, for an additional price, by request only

  • *No linens provided- students should bring XL twin bed sheets, pillow, blanket, and towel.
